Phosphate Facility-Blower
So, I went Urban Exploring last Saturday for the first (REAL) time, and it was pretty great. :3 All of these pics were taken in eastern Florida, in and around the Brandon, Florida, area. It's somewhat near to Bartow.
A large blower- or fan-type unit on the ground, inside the phosphate structure. I'm GUESSING that this was used to force the phosphate through a pipe network and into the railcars waiting below. I wonder what it sounded like in operation. The large pile of what looks to be phosphate (or maybe, just dirt) is possibly obscuring some old railroad tracks. I was unable to tell for sure.
