Shinji Tairo, age 20, is Krad's closest friend and rival in the story series "The Ongoing Adventures of Krad Dashow". While not entirely a Protagonist, he does challenge his friend many times throughout the series, as per custom for the role of "rival". Born in Viridian City, the same as his friend, his favorite Pokemon type is Psychic, as evident by his partner Pokemon being an Espeon by the name of Violet, whom he uses in battle more often than Draco, his Charizard and former starter. Shinji is also an open Pokephilliac, engaging in relations with his female Pokemon and even a few of the males. He has long held a male crush on his close friend and if not for Krad's girlfriend stepping into the picture, Shinji might have acted upon his lingering feelings. As with Krad, he is "retired" from training, and like his friend, may consider starting again as more information about Isshu is revealed.
