The Cult of the Flame Empress largely revolves around pyromania and chucking people in volcanos. Since the majority see Cana as their goddess/vessel, in her early days she has a lot of pyromaniacs trying to light her on fire (which is just a hassle), lighting themselves on fire near her, or trying to sacrifice random new recruits to her. So she's got to set some ground rules, put the writing on the wall!
