This is my half of an ART TRADE with
djdarkfox
The picture shows his fursona: “Demian J. Darkfox” (DJ Darkfox) posing on a rocky trail. He’s posing in the bright and warm sunlight, while a clean river dashes by behind his muscled body. ^^
This is indeed the second (!) “furry” character I’ve ever drawn yet. Wow… and it’s also the second time I’ve tried my skills on a more “buffy” body.
Anyway, I like how it came out aaaaand: finally some completely traditional piece again!
Media Used:
Pencils, Inks, Markers, Coloured Pencils, Acrylics (NO digital media!)
Working Time:
4 days

THIS is an awesome "Reptile" he has drawn for me in return:

-) I really liked this picture! Its great to see pinups with actual backgrounds, and none of those gradient fillers people seem to use. Your stone work and water has always left me envious :U
-) A bit of criticism now. I cannot help but feel, that his head is a bit flat, I dunno, but the profile view just seems to throw off the body, in all respect. Aside from that, the hyper-definitions looks fantastic as always.

Well, I could not even do a "background gradient filler", even if I wanted to! :D This is hand-made, after all. ^^
I'm also proud about how the water came out... though it really looks like "drinkable" water, huh? It is VERY clean... but hey, this is fantasy.
Sure, the head... I could have chosen a more "3D" perspective here. But I wanted to capture the character 100% and thus I have chosen a profile view. :D
Thanks for the comment!

And hey, you have seen THIS artwork here, haven't you?? ^^ This IS a traditional piece of art. ;) I was able to do this traditional one, because I had 4 free days... but now, I won't have any free time until summer holidays in 1 month. So...... when I want to do quit art, I use the digital media. :)
It's better to do digital works than doing NO art at all!!!! Don't ya agree?

-) Oh I do agree, and I remember this work :p. I don't think I elaborated, when I was referring to some of the older works you have on DA; the ones that require the endless amount of time and no social life left over. It sucks your work life is so hectic, I do actually miss seeing the older submissions that took up the entire board; like Meeting and Old Friend, and The Tavern of Twin moons. :U
Well, a traditional piece takes about 4 days (6-8 hours each)!!!!! :P
Yeah, the old good artworks... I still love them. ^^ But I won't upload my older works here... just because there are plently of other websites (my homepage, too) where you can watch it.
Just mark my homepage and you'll have everything ya need!

You're free to say what you want! :) I rather read people's honest and true comments, than just "Wow", "Great" comments!!! ;)
And I always want to hear both sides and everything you think about the works I do.
I'm not into such hige muscles, either... but that's how the character looks like.

You really nailed the way DarkFox draws his character almost to a tee.
DJ is known for his muscles without a doubt!
If you had told me DJ himself did this I would believe you but I know it's you so we have ourselves a tie as to who draws a better version of DJ.
This is a more rough version of him while he likes to do the realistic digital image stuff.
You ought to do more of these type of characters..
I'd really like to see how you'd draw a lion
Take care Rep

^^ Well, "DJ" and I work very similar. We use similar media and have a similar style. So, our works look alike... but he will undoubtfully do a great "REPTILE" for he has never done a scalie. Not a "Reptile", anyway.
I'm not much into "Buff" stuff but I'm happy how it came out. ;)
THANKS A LOT
