And we get to meet the second of the actual main cast for this story. The Core are there, they do play a role in the events of the story, but they aren't the main focus. The story's about Amber and the people who choose to live with her in her decrepit little home. Something you're going to see a lot in this story is that superpowers don't come without some drawbacks. Like most superhero comics go with the notion that if you have super speed you instantly have the ability to somehow have your brain process information that reaches your eye multiple times fast than the light can travel from the pupil to the retina. In this story, the laws of physics don't stop working just because you have a superpower. So there is a limit to how fast of a reaction time someone can have. Well ignoring Amber's Third Eye, because that is a workaround since you are seeing events before they happen.
Of Note: for the character Spotlights (though isn't true in this case) for any member of "Amber's Army" if the Third Eye would elevate their level, it'll be shown in parenthesis.
Character Spotlight: Christopher Flaminn: Power Level: Earth. Abilities: Super Speed with a max speed of about 800 mph. Appearance: 5'8" Caucasian at around 165 pounds, brown hair, green eyes and 17 years old. Christopher is an orphan, lived in the system for a few years and was mostly out on his own. Before meeting Amber his power was too unrefined to be of use to the Core and they would never bother training him. He dropped out of high school at 16 and mainly just wandered the streets making friends with other powered individuals.

I say he's a keeper. And what is this? Building an army, are we? Not if The Bomb has anything to say about it!
Well it's not technically an army. Like the story is building towards it but a much better analogy for what she's doing is like Professor X's school for the gifted. She's someone that's outside of the system with a more or less apartment complex that's gathering a bunch of superpowered individuals who just want a place where they won't be judged and to learn better control over their abilities. I probably could have just called them Amber's Group for the time being as calling them her Army doesn't show up until the turning point in the plot like halfway in. But decided to just go with Army because that way anyone who gets a spotlight after the term is dropped won't be confused as being in a different group
