you would think having an uncle like Stan Lee I would pay more attention to marvel universe, but DC ended up being my jam back in the early 80's. Specifically Firestorm, then Superman.
Ironically, the best way to save the company I think recently would be using the infinite crisis, Just three different heroes to be the big three.
For example, Instead of Superman, Wonder-Woman, and Bat-man. The Main heroes of the world's retelling could be Martian Manhunter, Raven and Blue Beetle.
Basically change the characters that develop and pull the other heroes into the Justice League. This way you don't have to create new stories of the old heroes, tell the stories that no one has heard about the other heroes while still making new stories.

My Uncle was "the" Stan Lee of Marvel comics. Sadly my family never got along with that side of the family, found out we where related when my mom signed up for those DNA Ancestry tests. She got pretty excited for me, and I was like "I draw Anime and Manga... O.o" XD

Supposedly a similar thing was the original idea behind Ultimate Marvel's Ultimatum. It was supposed to be a reboot and whoever died wouldn't be around in the rebooted universe, so it would explore the X-Men concept without Xavier and Magneto around.
They didn't end up going with it and just killed a bunch of people off anyway but its an interesting thought.
