Not when they're babies...
Most snakes have fairly small, needlelike teeth that're more used for gripping than anything else. Even the adult corns just draw a few pricks of blood if they bite.

That's too bad, snakes are pretty great pets! Totally quiet and only need care once a week, but they live 20 years! :)

My one kenyan sand boa doesn't seem to mind having her head petted - most snakes are (understandably) a little shy about that.
Some are extremely docile, especially if you handle them a lot!

xD Oh god. Nom nom nom nom HUMAN nom nom. I love snakes. Only had one do that to me and I didn't even realize why- a baby ball python was curled around my thumb, and was squeezing gently. Well my thumb turned pink and looked just like a baby mouse called a pinky, so NOM! lol

XD he was a greedy one. I set him back down there after. Lol. He obviously didn't want to leave petco for any other home. Lol. I miss my ball python :( snakes are the most beautiful and gentlest of pets. Ironic I say gentle under a pic like this. Lol

well, I'm used to being bitten x3 got tagged by my anery corn, chomped on by a ball python more than once. a corn hatchling tried to eat my finger. and leopard gecko bites actually HURT xD they dont let go

They are pretty great, just kinda nibbly :O But very beautiful... if you aren't short on cash and are interested in a bigger snake, black headed pythons look similar, maybe they aren't so bitey though (I don't have one... yet!)

He was super to work with, I definitely recommend if you have no big snake shows near you. (sometimes you can find them at a show for maybe $50 less than that price, if you're lucky, but I think Mike's prices are very good especially since shipping is included. I'm gonna get a male from him sometime when baby season is over)

I should also say, they're not common at shows, but they're not exactly super rare, either. Prices may vary wildly.
