In one of the episodes, Cory Lakewood decided to runawa from his parents after realizing what dark secrets they have been keeping from him all this time.

Without Tanisque and Esau knowing, Cory took off on his own, and The Lakewood Parents believe that Cory was either taken from or going back to Gusty Valley to see Paul and Rebecca.
Tanisque and Esau came back to Gusty Valley and began to sabotage the Coopers.
