I never really did understand the whole Jesus = lion thing. I mean, the aesthetic of the mane looking like the beard I get, but lions are carnivores, have nothing to do with shepardry or herding which is such a common metaphor in the New Testament... and overall their pretty vicious and lazy towards their own kind. They'll come into another male's turf, kill all his kittens, then expect the now childless mother and her sisters to go fetch him dinner.
