This is Netilda, a Bontrophorus. An alien creature made up of seaweed and algae.

A random idea that  KingKabuto challenged me and others on, to create an alien with a bottomless hunger that is also benign.


She was heavily inspired by https://twitter.com/HungryVen?s=20 's Ven. Who also helped me out with Netilda's and her species traits.

Netilda is a sea faring plant gal, with a big appetite and a love for teaching. She volunteers at the local aquarium to make friends with fish and people alike. She takes a lot of naps, eats a lot of food, and helps give tours at the aquarium!

She eats almost everything, except for fish or any kind of sea life. Her favorite thing to snack on are cucumbers.
But her favorite thing to binge eat is cheese pizza. It was the first thing Netilda ate when she first visited dry land.

Netilda is afraid of the dark. She never ventured to the deep depth of the ocean because of the dark. That's why she likes aquariums, cause they always have the lights on. And when she sleeps there overnight, she usually sleeps in the tanks with the fish that glow in the dark.

Her species are the Bontrophorus. An alien race made out of algae and seaweed. Their seaweed being able to form tentacles that can grab items or detect predators.

Being made out of sea plants, Bontrophorus need to eat and sleep a lot in order to move around for long periods. And since they sleep a lot, that allows other sea flora to stick and grow on their bodies.

Sine the Bontrophorus are so attuned with nature, they detest any poaching and pollution. They try their best to enlighten people to stop these acts of cruelty. However, the more active Bontrophorus go out of their way to stop these acts by force.
