As the end approaches
I'm supposed to be taking all my time to study rn but I was feeling way too tired and miserable yesterday so, I decided to challenge myself and try to paint a scene of the ending event of the Constellation War in Galactic Dragon lore, where Aurora Vermiculus containing Serpens himself (constellation Crux's leader) kamikazes into the Earth. It's devastating considering how populated it is by this time and it being in the designated peace zone that is the Solar System, especially since this flagship is powered by huge nuclear reactors.
It didn't turn out nearly as good as I'd hoped for, but then again I haven't touched actual scenery and painting for like 2 years now so, it's a start to taking it more seriously I suppose.
All of the effects I've slapped over it hide how flawed my 3d shape and perspective drawing is lmfao
The ship is designed by and belongs to a friend of mine, same as Serpens- just felt like drawing this moment from the lore, you can expect more of this stuff since I quite enjoy drawing story stuff tbh.

Yeah ^^; still, it's quite difficult to tell the actual size of space objects unless you get really close to them, in this shot Earth is still a bit far. But yup, Earth will have to be abandoned until it can be habited again- and of course lots of lives were lost too.
nonono humans wouldn't go extinct, in this universe it's way more advanced and not only are they spread through the whole solar system, uniting with other civilized species (especially Galactic Dragons) allowed them to spread to multiple nearby galaxies even. so nobody's going extinct, it's just a huge loss seing how populated and how much history Earth has
