One more shot of Astra, today! A year and a half later and she's getting big. They get to be 7-8 feet, I'd say she's half-grown now.
Also not trying to eat me, yay!
At some point I'm gonna get a boyfriend for her, but for now I'm focusing on optimizing the snakeroom.

I remember when they were like $1K XD I thought $300 (including shipping) was a decent deal... I can sometimes find hatchlings for around $250 at shows.
They're australian and I respect that australia has strict export/import laws, so that's why they've been so expensive. But they're really easy to keep and breed so their price is coming down a lot. I'm sure the price will continue to drop.
And I hear ya... snakes are so addictive. I'm glad I have a house with a dedicated snake room!

I haven't really seen any of them below $500 on kingsnake. All the reptile shows up here are over 3 hours away so I haven't been able to go to any of those, either D:
My entire apartment is a reptile-dedicated....apartment :X We even sleep in the living room. The iguana and several others own the bedroom.
