No. How i have it in my head, they've been friends since middle school and built a great friendship bond that nothing would be able to separate the two, the only obstacle is living so far from each other. As they grew older to how they are in the art piece, they could be able to travel to one another easily since Alejandro earned his license and car so he could drive to her and hangout :3
