...I found this handsome gent crawling almost right across my driveway- and from a distance, I thought it was either a pile of dirt or a big pile of poop :P
He looked rather parched, so as soon I was done taking a few pics of him,
I picked him up by both sides of his shell (I didnt want to hurt him) -
And...well if you can imagine a turtle going "OMG WTF ARE YOU DOING"- he had that kind of face, I swear- well, I carried him over to the pond next door and gently plopped him at the edge, where he swam away as fast as he could XD
Ah well...it was pretty cool, I dont usually get these guys on my lawn :P

That IS a snapper! You're a braver pango than I am to pick one up.
I saw one of these things bite through an inch thick stick in one go (my father was gently trying to turn one away from our back yard and back to the swamp... one gentle poke and CHOMP! We let him have the run of the backyard after that).
Still, it was nice of you to put him back into the water. I'm sure he appreciated it.
