Commission for Masterdramon3 who asked me to draw his assassin gargoyle, Simurgh, who features in his story Assassins.

Simurgh is based on the mythical bird of Persian folklore of the same name, with a dog-like head, heavy wings like a condor and the split tails of a peacock (although the appearance of the Simurgh can vary quite a bit :P). The creature is usually depicted as multi-coloured, but MasterDramon just asked for three main colours for his gargirl :) I applied careful use of gradients in the wings to try and achieve an iridescent effect.
