Austin, still covered in that ghost-colored magic paint, has a totally and completely legit excuse to not help Chitter Squirrel decorating. He's not just making excuses!
I may have a shaky grasp of anatomy, muscle, composition, and lettering, but I nail 'cardboard boxes left in the basement all year'. Also I'm surprised how much I like the effect of putting a 50% opacity on a color layer. It's such an easy trick that it shouldn't work.
So this is my adaptation of the generic Casper pose. I wanted the scene to look like an early-winter landscape, but that's pretty hard to do. Too much white and grey would make Austin and Chitter disappear. I'm surprised how I like the little white squiggles, the things that ordinarily are just grass, as suggestions of something winter-y.
