Yay! I was finally able to get a new set of Copics to replace my previous set, and I'm tickled so pink to be able to get my hands dirty with traditional media again.
So thank you, Sardonis, for giving me such yummy warm colors to work with :p Unfortunately, my scanner doesn't play too nice with bright oranges and yellows, so quite a bit of texturing was lost :(

may I ask how you did the edges of the text? Did you hand-paint the edges, or is it some sort of gradient fill? I notice a really nice transition of black and white on it that gives it a cool "pop-out" feel without looking too much like a generic bevel-and-emboss trick, but I'm still curious :V
The text I did do digitally, because my hand-lettering isn't very strong. The text is a combination of bevel/emboss, a drop shadow, and two gradients on the "face" of the letters. For the bevel/emboss and drop shadow, I tweaked the settings rather than just going with the normal values.
how is the edge embossing done? it just looks like there's a nice thin white outline at certain light sources, with black outside of that. I am just curious how it looks that way, because normally the bevels at that small size look ridiculous and fuzzy. Is it a custom shading curve or anti-aliasing or something like that? I mean, I'm still trying to get what the trick is exactly, cause I really like it xD
I could tell that the colors on the inside were a couple gradient fills (I like that), but the edges are what caught my attention, since I'm kinda bad at edging text logos and was curious how other people did 'em.
