Ya know... if that knight is anything like me, that's probably a nosebleed we see from such gorgeous paws suddenly coming into view. :D
Very cool gryphon design - and love his amused/wry expression as he just easily dominates the "heavily armed" guard. I like how his snapping the joust-tip is almost like a casual afterthought as he whooshes past.
