Still trying to make a solid ref image for my 'sona, Oakenwolf. Still not completely satisfied, but getting closer... The green spiral designs that appear on Oak's left arm and around his eye aren't actually tattoos, but a manifestation of his power. When he's actively using magick, the lines begin to glow, and when he really throws down, they expand into a much larger, more complex design.

Thank you! I always knew I wanted to incorporate some Celtic- inspired features, but beautiful as they are, those complex knotwork designs can be extremely daunting to draw over and over again! So, finally I settled on a kind of cheat that would let me simplify or expand them, depending on how ambitious I'm feeling about a particular picture. I think I must've been inspired by the "Will lines" concept from the Fable games.
