
So skilled are the graceful wings of falcons, it's as if they could paint the sky with each feathered tip.
This painting was partially inspired by the quote of a falconer whose blog I read -
"Goshawks are water. Falcons are air and hot stone. Goshawks are water and wood." -- Helen Macdonald
This, obviously, would be the 'air and hot stone.' The next painting, predictably, will be the goshawk.

Tremendous work ....beauuutiful composition too and i love the colors, i suspect traditional O: oh yeap watercolor, well congrats its beautiful, I particularly like how the lines on the terrain go to the left wing of the bird makes you look there.....same with the clouds in the sky
