Haha cute face, but so hard to see because of the black. XP Was there a smudgy on his ear or was that on purpose?

A part of the mistake I made, the other is the lettering, I accidentally went too far with the blue marker and hit his ear. I tried to clean it up but it did nothing... markers are so unforgiving...

I think it still looks better in RL due to the scanner brightened up the badge and really made my mistakes stand out.

Thank goodness for gel-pens. A trick I picked up at last year's Aki Con is to use white gel-pens for highlighting on markers. With this technique I learned I made it able to slightly make out his face despite it being so dark.

Now I need more markers cause having only 24 makes me feel so limited on colors and combination... and I can't color humans!

What kinda markers do you got?

Prismacolor Markers. I still think Copic is too expensive, but Prisma isn't too far behind for being the same marker set-up. Ben Franklin the craft store near us wanted $5.99 per Copic Marker... they weren't carrying Prisma, but I think the last time I saw Prisma Makers there they were going for $3.99 each. I swear Ben Franklin was set up to rip off new Manga (or wanna-be) artists.
