To make them wear clothing easly i make their wings retractable, they can hide them under the clothing without problem. But, unless they have holes on the clothing for the wings, they have to take off the upper part of their clothing to let them out.

For the appereance, i've been seeing wasps, bees, and bumblebees. Kutamu is more based on a bumblebee now and Yen and his family, will be a mixture of wasps and maybe another species, i don't know yet, i need to re-design his father, the emperor.

Now for the wings:
The wings are a real important features of their society and culture, the more colourful and big the more nobelty or high status will look. Wings are a status thing for their civilization (At least for the winged species)
They love to take care of them, they are really proud of their wings. Even they use them to court others or, in the opposite, to intimidate. Their emotions are pretty attached to their wings, they move them a lot when they are happy or even when they are angry.
I don't have to say that they get really mad if someone insult their wings, that's the worst thing someone can do to them.
