07/5 Update: Pronoun indicators added to the refsheet!
UPDATE 1/11/2024: Carbon's design has been altered slightly, as well as his age and moveset!
After several years of having many OCs I have finally tackled the long, arduous task of creating actual reference sheets for them. Some of my OCs stayed pretty much the same, some have minor adjustments, some have major rehauls of them!
These reference sheets took a VERY long time to do since each one had so many things to consider when adding them. it may have taken me a while but since I've been meaning to actually make them for quite a while now, it's good that I finally got that off my shoulders. u//u (And before anyone asks, I don't plan on taking commissions for reference sheets like these any time soon, sorry to disappoint! ^^;;)
Next Pokegijinka to share is Carbon, my big burly Charizard-demi and bane of all things electric and mouse. :)
Name: Carbon
Species: Charizard Gijinka
Age: 30
Height: 226cm / 7’5”
Type: Fire / Flying
Level: 85
Ability: Blaze
Moveset: - Heat Crash - Earthquake - Iron Tail - Inferno -
Additional Abilities:
- Gigantamax Form: Due to extensive endurance training, Carbon can maintain his Gigantamax form for a longer period of time compared to the average Dynamaxed Pokemon
- Enhanced Durability: Due to extensive endurance training, Carbon's muscles are highly durable.
Personality: Carbon is a stoic, no-nonsense blood knight who lives for the glory of good battles. While ruthless in fights, he does not tolerate those who rely on dirty tactics or those who run away from them. When he gets enraged, he remains tranquil but exudes a terrifying furious energy. However, even with his stoic nature he has a bit of self-pride as a seasoned warrior.
Basic Lore: Carbon was a man with a simple goal in life of becoming a powerful champion in the ring of battle. In his youth, he was cocky and believed he could take on anyone. however, after a rather humiliating defeat from a strong electric-type opponent who left him with a nasty scar and a blow to his ego, he vows to train to become strong enough to never let himself suffer such a loss again.
Trivia:
- Voice Claim: Patrick Seitz
- It is rumored that his unnaturally large stature is thanks to genetic ancestry in the form of an Alpha Charizard gijinka.
- Carbon’s favorite foods are curry and Wacan Berries. Surprisingly enough, he is not fond of spicy food.
- He holds somewhat of a grudge against Electric-types, ever since a humiliating defeat long ago that permanently damaged part of his wing. However, despite being a Fire-Type, he holds nothing against water-types.
- Despite being part Flying type, Carbon cannot fly - preferring to stay on ground level. However, he can flap his wings to cause gusts to blow back opponents- although this isn't as effective as using his body to strike them.
- Even though his presence is very intimidating, he will never lay a hand on a child. If a kid-pokemon challenged him to a fight, he would refuse it. If a toddler were to hand him a toy phone, he WILL answer it.

I didn't know the reason Carbon hated the electric types was because he got humbled by one. I always assumed it was because they had a 'shockingly' good taste to them.
...I was promptly shot to death for that joke and my killer was let off by a judge who ruled it 100% justifiable homicide.
For real tho, I love all the background stuff I'm finally learning about your OC's. Like this big bad motherfucker not only having a soft spot for kids but straight up indulging their silliness by answering toy phones probably with this 'kill me plz' look on his face.

Well, since Kaminari has a bit of a disadvantage of frying his own brains if he uses his power too much, it might be a bit of an easy win for him.
(of course, this does kinda leave me conflicted because well, I really am not a fan of OCs overpowering pre-established canon-characters, since it comes off as "har har my character is better than this character that is known and loved by countless audiences", but IN THEORY Carbon might have the upper hand.)
