It's clever viral marketing. This stuff is the wave of the present.
It's similar to the old radio shows, in a way. I was listening (somewhat against my will) to an episode of Archie Andrews and the theme of the episode was Archie's dad had a sunburn, and one 'cure' that was suggested was a nice, cold malted- made from the sponsors product, of course.

The ye Oldie Tube of the Yous is very interested in giving me every video except a simple cameo segment, including one persons review of said cameo...
Episode was titled 'Wave of the Future', information was turned up in under 30 seconds with basic web serch using terms Col Sanders Little House Prairie.

(Slaps palm full on face with a heartfelt groan.) Well if it's a gag, I get it, but if KFC has decided to put Colonel Harlan Sanders out to pasture, the fall of the fried chicken restaurant chain will soon follow.
Geeze. What type of advertising committee thinks up these type of ads? Don't they remember what happened to Edmund Scientific Co. when they decided to sell only "Adult" pleasuring items instead of high school science fair gadgets?

I'm rather spoiled. My grandmother had a cook, Anna, who made SPECTACULAR fried chicken. By comparison, KFC seemed bland and greasy...and still does. If I feel the need for fast food chicken, I'll opt for Popeyes (or Bojangles when they were still open in the area).
