This is a new one I have forged, because the last one didn't even work properly and was way too thick to even have a proper edge to scoop into the wood that is being cut.
This one is much better and will serve me better than the other one.
The steel used here is from coil spring, the wood is a piece of American ash and the wrapping of twine to keep the wood from splitting is cotton twine that has been super glued.
