Interesting, but they're not the most fearsome scavengers in Michigan. When camping, you need to be careful about anything food-like smelling, or the wolvercoons will attack your campsite.

For those not in the know, wolvercoons are a crossbreed of wolverines and raccoons.

Once on the college campus here, I saw a guy sit down on a bench outside with one of the giant chicken quesadillas they sell in the campus food court, and he turned to talk to a friend for a minute and a squirrel came up and took the whole quesadilla and ran off with it.

At my squadron in Nebraska there was this cocky little black one with red eyes that would climb into the vending machines, yank either bags of chips or candy bars out from those rings, drop them, hop down and they open the door and scurry away with the goods.

Now if he can just tip the coke machine enough to drop free sodas, I'll adopt him as a pet. ^_^
