Thank you! Something D-Tail had said back before the trip immediately inspired that last line, but for the life of me throughout the vacation I could not create any stanzas to accompany it. Then at that ungodly hour last night when mightysquid wrote a Mario-themed poem of his own, all this suddenly flooded forth! It was quite a surprise - do you suppose sleep deprivation aids in the poetry writing process?

'This game, it is no fun for me!
To save the Princess is no feat
Compared to catching a Sentreet.'"
This quatrain is absolutely lovely! xD
It's written in perfect iambic tetrameter (though there's the stretching of "Sentreet," which I believe was spelled that way to get that rhyme ~you were referring to the pokemon, yes?~).
Hehe, no matter, no matter; you know how I am when it comes to poetry. ^^
I'm amazed that you could fabricate so many well endowed verses from a single thought; I really appreciate the literary gesture, Leon! \(^o^)/

It's nothing! To be honest I'm equally baffled that my fingers typed this. Just reporting the scene in the Mushroom Kingdom as it unfolded in my noggin at 3 AM!
( D: Did I get "Sentreet" wrong? Having never played this "Pokemon" game you speak of, I hadn't a clue how it ought to be spelled. But it was an attempt at a reference, since I'd read you were fond of the game yourself! Oh well... better stick to Smash references from now on - at least there's a game we've both played :) )
