A little experiment I've finished. I got thinking about how much Scarlet has changed over the years since her creation after participating in the Then and Now Character Development Meme.
So, I decided to see what would happen if I went back to her first version and updated it to present standards.
I think the results are not too shabby! And hey, finally a "NEW" drawing from me in this year 2010, painstakingly produced on my terminally ill computer, completely in paint with no touch-ups this time around ala photoshop.
ENJOY!

Man, that is brilliant! I guess there is allot to be said about dipping into your artistic past to re-learn old appeal factors in a character. Good God, I love that face. I have a feeling this will mean a series of character experimentations, I look forward to that.
<3 I love those lil' toesies of hers.

Indeed, it turned out way better than I had thought it would when I first started to do it, but everything just kinda fell into place.
I love the face too, it's all in the big ol' eyes that she used to have and now has once more.
As for a series of character experiments, well maybe. I kinda like her just like this, with maybe a few minor tweaks here and there in any upcoming pictures.
Glad you like her toesies, they are difficult to get looking "right" sometimes. LOL
