Dec. 15th- Today is the day. Lynn's birthday. She looked at her phone. Reading the text from her older brother and mother. Wishing her a happy birthday. Lynn smiled calling up Drake to check up on him. Drake picked up the phone, '' Hello?''. Lynn replied, '' Hey, Drake. Today is the big day. Are you doing anything?'' she asked. Drake sigh, '' I do. Apparently, I have a meeting to attend to. Not sure if I'm going to make it tonight for dinner.'' he said. Lynn looked down at the table, '' Its ok. Its no big deal anyway. I'll just chill at home than. I'll let you get back to work than.'' she said, as she hung up. She grab a few ingredients to make herself a sweet treat to celebrate her birthday. But little does she knows, Drake has a special surprise for her. Later that night, she finished baking herself a cupcake. Having a picture of her deceased father, she sings, ' happy birthday' somberly. Feeling that her day didn't matter, she started to sob feeling alone. Than suddenly he felt her face being lifed up from the table and see Drake holding a pink box of her favorite cake. He smiled, '' Surprise, sweetheart.'' he said. Her eyes widen in shock seeing him home. '' I thought...'' she was interrupted. '' That I was having a meeting. No. That was a ruse cuz I was at the bake shop getting your cake. So, hope you like it. '' he said, opening the box to reveal her favorite flavored cake. Covered in purprle icing that says, ' Happy Birthday, Lynn Carne.' she smiled. '' Its perfect.'' she said, hugging Drake.
