Spent the day talking to a close coworker (I concider a friend, for sure. She's also my first plush commissioner. So excited to bring her the plush come Tuseday!)
Anyway. I wore a beatiful Chinese shirt (sorry I don't know the name of it) that my mother's best friend's husband got for me while he was in China last week. Told her that while I absolutely LOVED my shirt...I was still wanting a Maneki Neko.

Thus she wondered...what the heck was a maneki neko, or lucky cat? A quick google search...and she is just as hooked as I am by these adorable good luck charms. I'm hoping to start collecting Maneki Neko of all shapes, sizes, and colors.

My newest project (hopefully one I will actually finish!) is going to be a maneki neko Majin! She'll be so cuuuute! Eager to get started. Probably going to whip out the scupley tomorrow and see what I can do. She'll even have a custom made pillow (made by me obviously) that she'll be resting on.
