As I recall, it had something to do with her getting injured real badly and getting hooked on painkillers, and Cookie not helping her get better, just looking the other way at the time. The injury forced her to retire from wrestling, as if her tried to fight some more, it would damage her even further.

So how would like to be prepared? Deep fried or extra crispy?

There's probably is. but it's like the UFC: yeah, there's other events of the sort, but they aren't as famous or big as the main one. Hence why it's as good as a career-ender: even if they manage to fight in other places, they wouldn't be as famous as if they fought in the Tendochi Tournament.

It's not like they have to actually abide by the conditions of the loss. People will just say "Oh, they backed out on their deal... oh well!" and then forget about it in a few weeks.

Remember Freydar is working alongside Shun, and he's the leader of the biggest mafias in the city, and the one that practically rules it. So yeah, if they accept and lose, he can very well make the condition happen.

My guess is she some how got healed, either that or she will go full Senator Armstrong and be infused with nanomachines

Damn. The ultimatum is worse than I thought. Cookie might as well retire if her Combagals lose the match. Not only that, they will lose their lives on town since they will be banished. At least someone is brave enough to stand up to Freydar. Funny how the least chicken of the Tendonchi Masters is the chicken (technically rooster). But the look Freydar gives him suggests a bad fate for him.

Technically, Soon-to-be-nuggets have right: Freydar cannot fight, or she may remain blind. Also, she cant offer a title shot like that without even have been champions herself since I think to remember she retired before she won any title. And even if she was, only the current champions could offer such chance. The only way would be if she did had a title shot herself she never used, but since she's retired from at least two years, it would have expired by now...

I have to admire Golgadoo being a good emcee trying to restore the rules and order to the whole system, even though doing this may perhaps tragically result in Freydar doing something too unpleasant to him, I'm afraid.

And Freydar's injury has to do with a scar? Hmmm.
