This evening, as the sun went down and the light went all prismatic through the window, it fell upon this piece I am working on and I couldn't help myself; I had to take a photo.

Well I used a bit of ink to darken the pupil and eye rims.. Other than that, it's all just colored pencil.

Wow... when I look at something like that it looks like a mix of oil pastels or maybe acrylic paints... Im terrible when I use pencil... I dont know how to make effects like that. XD Its either too light to show up on the scanner or too dark and I cant fix it.

It takes a million billion layers and leaving the white of the paper white and a lot of cussing, and it still doesn't scan well.
