Admittedly, I only said I wouldn't color him so that I could bait someone else into coloring him, but that didn't work so I did it myself...
Anyways, Steiner, colored.

Not as wide as i remember him, but a very nice picture - the sword is the one you get in exchange for the stellatio coins if i am not mistaken..
I always liked to have him in the party - may not be the smartest guy, but loyal and reliable ^^ and capable of dishing out quite well ^^

*chuckles* i can imagine... he does rattle and clatter well enough in the game, so there s no need for him to continue as such on the picture ^^
Actually i liked the Blood sword - having it to run up n down in the dungeon of Alexandria all on his own, and good ol´ Steiner becomes virtually immortal with it ^^

heh heh - i recommend to give it a try next time - you ll see, it renders him into an unstoppable force - and with no one to share the experience with, he will level up quite fast there - makin the following bossfights even easier with him on the team, who is about 20Lv or so above the others...
you don t use him very often, huh? if i recall correctly he went from lv 15 to about forty in what? two or three hours at max..
once you escape the cage, let your companion (forgot the name) die and then let Steiner wreak bloody havoc among the guards, simply by slaughtering your path to the stairs on the left and back to the cage on the right - do this for say two or three hours and you will see the effect... once i was done, he had learned every ability he could from every item i had at my disposal.

umm no? hmm.. guess its been too long since i played FF9 i m stilll busy to level up my party in order to beat the shit outta Yadis before doing the stuff on the Isle of Light - got him down to perhaps 1k HP once, but then he nuked my whole party... *growls* just wait, i ll get you soon enough - even without those friendly-monsters-quest done.
you can steal one from him, yes.. but after the fight you are supposed to get a whole Pumice, so you don t have to sacrifice the pieces and still have them as very useful accessoires - actually if you already posess one or two Pumice Pieces, it makees the fight a good deal easier, for they render the specific character who has them equipped virtually immune to about 2/3 of Yadis/Osma´s fearsome arsenal - this does however not mean that the fight is gonna be made easy by that... far from it... he still posesses enough destructive potential to really ruin ones day..
same to you... you re gonna need it... - and i strongly recommend to look up Osmas abilities in detail, to give you as much information as possible, about how to counter most of his abilities... otherwise he will eradicate your party in a matter of minutes if not seconds... - shortest match for me was 5 seconds... his first attack nuked my whole group...
Oh shit! I should have picked up on that Kyle sorry :( I would love to colour some lines of yours in the very near future though, I'm putting together a new computer today! Let me know when you get something you don't feel like putting hues to and want to collab!
FUCK FINALLY! Someone does fan art on Steiner!
D8 man...its weird to say, but I had a crush on him
when I was a kid playing FF9. hah.
poor Rusty ..then again he got the hottie general.
Anyways good rendition of him! The expression is dead on!
Is that the blood sword by chance? it looks it.

Yes! Finally some FF9 artwork involving the other characters! I always found him entertaining to watch during the game =)
This is easily the best drawing of Steiner I've ever seen. Great work with detailing and proportioning parts of his armour, like his helmet and shoulder sections. Also I like how you used shadows to make him look more serious and dangerous. And good choice for his sword to be weilding as well. The pose also suits him properly too I find, so good work with that as well =D
