reptilecynrik do whatever he wants wi this picture (and its art sources) in anyway anywhere anytime, including uploads to any website he uses.

'Hey! This new art style is not only appealing but also cuts out a lot o frustration points, making art a joy!'
'Of course. You simplified a lot of stuf from the process to the designs.'
'I got a good idea! I shall draw this very complicated character in this new style! Moreover, I am going to experiment with drawing Paint.NET, a programme I rarely use in actual drawing, in thi style!'
...being fair, I am Ra'kroth's number one fan.
I picked Paint.NET because I was frustrated with Inkscape. Normal, raster-based imag editors (including Paint, Paint.NET, Clip Studio Paint, Photoshop, SAI, and Procreate) draw by pixel, whereas vector-based imag editors (including Inkscape) draw by shape. That means that, if I wanted to draw negative outlines (the spaces between the shapes in the above picture), I had to spend time modifying the shapes or even make new ones in Kscape, whereas I could simply erase lines in Paint.NET.
However, that same pixel/vector split gave me new problems: all I have to do is lay down lines and modify them in Kscape, whereas I had to work repeatedly with strokes in Paint.NET. Even when I used Paint.NET's modifiable lines (a rarity in raster-bas editors), the lines do not have the flexibility I expected with Inkscape (from what you can see wi the crooked tail), and, even then, they only drew pixelated or anti-aliased lines, being separate from the brush tool which did the highlighting effect (from what you can see wi the messy lines).
Despite this, I find this a worthy experiment. I guess I am sticking with Inkscape after all, though I like how this picture compresses to a small size.
By the by, I definitely could have simplified Ra'Kroth in a different way. Due to reptilecynrik 's realistic art style with realistic, physics-based lighting, I had trouble finding Ra'kroth's 'base colours', which look odd here. Moreover, his head shape looks weird, plus the cheek claws are too high. (The removal of the jewel on his torso was a deliberate decision, though. My reasons would be a spoiler...)
I actually feel rather unsatisfied wi this picture, though not completely. This was just an experiment in th end.
UPDATE: Whoops! I forgot his nostril!
I also would have added the snout grooves, bu they would have complicated the picture too much.

Hello there,
oh my... that's a surprise!
Yay, it's the good ol' alien RA'KROTH again... and you're his biggest fan indeed! ^^
He looks cool, really cool! That style fits quite well to his insect-like body... you know, it's made of chitin segments so that really works!
THANKSSSSSSSSSSSS very much!!!
You did a good job!
P.S.:
I'll upload it to my website in the next days... I'm really busy at the moment. ^^

Aiyah! I was actually worried!
You yisi... made of chitin... I learned something new about Ra'kroth... I am surprised that I made something work without actively thinking...
No; I should thank you in letting me draw him.
By the by, I am i no rush in you putting up the picture in your website, especially with your school job. Please take your time.
(Also, happy birthday! Pleas excuse me finding ou too late.)

> THIS current one of yours didn't seem fitting in my opinion. ^^"
How come? I am genuinely curious.
> Or do you wish me to change it?
I wished... until you told me that you gave me a Ra'Kroth avatar because I was his no.1 fan. That... is fitting and actually clever.
Please keep the Ra'Kroth avatar.

The thing is... from my point of you I connect YOU to "Ra'Kroth" and nothing else.
You don't have a "persona" or "main character" I guess... right? If you had it would be easier.
Truth is, I only know you from you love to Ra'Kroth... and that's why you're that no. 1 fan! ^^

Actually, I do have a 'main character':

...hence why I switched to the avatar: my main character is a sort-of werewolf while I like men's formalwear a lot. (The avatar comes from the Hellboy comic The Black Wedding.)
(That is just my explanation, though.)

You can always send me an avatar via email and I will change it at my website.
