Mortimer is the son of the god of death. Well, he was, still is? Who knows. However, living in the realm of the dead, the only thing he ever really wanted was to live amongst mortals, the living. always daydreaming of the living world he yearned for freedom. One day, he fled from his father's realm and decided to seek it. Taking the form of a sharkdog (inspired by canine-like spirit messengers) he took to the celestial river to flee this realm, traveling to the normal oceans.

...Where he was promptly hit by a boat, and immediately killed on impact.
That was okay, his father admired his spirit, and being that he's a demi-god, he just came right back to life as an undead sharkdog instead. The knock on the head made him lose his memories, however, so he has no idea who he really is or where he really came from.

he is the peak "Looks edgy, is an IDIOT". He thinks hes the coolest ever. But he's really about as scary as a rock and probably can't count past 7 without getting distracted by a bird. He also talks like a sailor because when he came to the first people to save him was sailors. Therefore, a lot of boat talk and obnoxious ocean puns.

Bottom left is him with a soda ring stuck on his face because hes dumb. His adopted son (owned by takura) probably will have to use that horn of his to cut it off. Or something. Or just let him suffer. Whatever.
