Day ten of Pokecember, have my starter for most everything Gen I since Charmander and Charizard are main stream dirtwads now that aren't even that cool thanks to rocks and stones. I was always a Venasaur person and my mom's favorite is also Bulbasaur among other ones from gen I and gen II(some gen III but she lost track past that).

Ever so creatively named Ivorn, or Thorn most games, somehow that became by the Yellow play through this name: Tulip. A name that is both feminine and masculine as Tulip can mean turban and tulips have bulbs. So Tulip just sort of stuck around until present gens where transferring didn't work and I guess they would be in Platinum or Pearl now if the game still has them and I didn't run out of box space.

Anyway, to further complicate Tulip, they have a pumpkin design because when I thought of the many different bulbs my child brain went what if it was a big pumpkin blossom and when it evolved it was a pumpkin flower open with a pumpkin in it.

Bulbasaur vanished from my team for Gen II, Gen III, and popped in all of the later ones so it's hard to say I don't still have a Tulip, but more Tulip's descendants. That counts, I suppose. But in Mystery Dungeon, you better believe I mained in a lot of hard dungeons the power of Tulip.
