Joshua in his past mortal life was a scyther pokemorph. He was real monster from countless time due to he was wanted for countless brutal murders and rapes. Certain time later he returned as a demonic undead to do what he used to. Then he returned again as a demonic skeleton.

Kazenma was a Syntax Ronin in past and he was leader of Syntax Yakuza, the China-Japan-based Syntax Faction. However, he became a monster when he willingly took his hidden part on Moebius Foundation's horrible experiments as a top secret project of fusing human with Protoss and Zerg. The project had two branches. First was to do so on Terran. Second was on Syntax Person. Kazenma's present form was obvious result of the second branch while first is to be found out yet. The most unknown thing however is Kazenma is somehow a son of Samir Duran/Emil Narud himself. Not known if biologically, adopted or made for there's no information about Kazenma's mother.
