Alaya stood on a ledge just less than a foot above the one the armored man stood. The man snorted lightly and scratched his rough beard. “You do know we could share this land, together, in peace, if only you’d lay your arms, as so would we.”

“I don’t believe there is ever a chance to make peace with you,” responded Alaya. “Because I don’t see you truly wanting it, from all that has been done.”

“Well, you cannot have us fight forever.”

“Then you cannot force us to fight forever.” As her dagger was raised to the chest of the man, her eyes giving a sharp glare at him.

The man just stared back, expression near emotionless, before chuckling. “Don’t be so rash in your actions, girl. It is not one’s place to answer with violence.”

Alaya shook her head. “You came to us that way, we are simply returning the favor.”

(So, This is clearly not my best art.... at all.... but I just felt the need to do some art related to at least one of my main stories as a way to help me worldbuild some, which I’ve been struggling with.... and of course this isn’t fully finished storywise, as I plan for Alaya to have a different name in this big part of her story (basically her “origin” of sorts) and I’ve still much to do in terms of designing things about her and her realm and the guy too, who is part of the antagonist side, and many other things....)
