I had this idea, and Sandblast and I ran with it. Mostly because I wanted to draw a palm tree with Christmas lights on it. The other reason was to have fun working with my protégé. It's fun to have watched over a year of Sand's artistic progress! Eventually, I have to give HIM a sketch of ME, that HE can finish the rendering. ^^

You really took my sketch to the next level with everything you did, I really love how this looks! I'm thankful for your mentorship too- ever since I started trying to take this whole art thing more seriously, you've helped me see the things I need to work on to make it the best it can be. Hopefully in the next year my work will get even stronger.
It was a fun exercise! And truthfully, the first time I've ever really collabed on something.

Thank you! Yes it was a lot of wish fulfillment on our ends. I also discovered that there are quite a few more beach-themed Christmas songs than I originally thought existed!
I would love a warm tropical Christmas ONCE before I die. Just once. Just to say I did it. Sand and I both come from the same region so we are used to snowy white Christmases.
