I've been meaning to do much more with my sentient jet species known as the Common Avanta. Their anatomy is unlike anything found on Earth. Primarily because Avantas are not from Earth at all. They are in fact an alien species, brought to Earth and saved from utter annihilation some ten million years ago. Over time, Avantas forgot their origins. All tangible records were lost. Today, despite hostilities in the past, the highly intelligent and social Avantas share a close relationship with humans.
