Tänd ett ljus och låt det brinna
Låt aldrig hoppet försvinna
Det är mörkt nu
Men det blir ljusare igen
Tänd ett ljus för allt du tror på
För den här planeten vi bor på
Tänd ett ljus för jordens barn
–
Light a candle and let it burn
Never let hope disappear
It is dark now
But it will be brighter again
Light a candle for all you believe in
For the planet that we live on
Light a candle for Earth’s children
From one beautiful Swedish Christmas song, translated by me.

Alright, these aren’t goats as such… But with horned antelopes, we should be close enough?... Can you tell the exact species even (without cheating and looking at tags)? ;)
The picture is inspired by the Yule Goat tradition. Especially those Scandinavian figurines of long-horned goats tied with red ribbon.
Dedicated to my wife.

About time we saw this klipspringer again! And it's good to see you horned ones are putting those pointy bits to good use this season.
I'm not too familiar with the Yule Goat tradition, but it immediately brought to mind the Gävle goat (sure enough, it seems to be in the same spirit).

Oh yes, I should have featured klipspringer some more. It's just that I couldn't think of a good occasion to do so.
The Gävle goat is the most famous example, but at the same time rather in-famous, for being vandalized frequently. By people who seem to think that this is part of the tradition, whereas it's most certainly not.
An interesting bit of history is that before the times of Santa, it was the Yule Goat who would hand out the gifts in Sweden. Gradually he got replaced with Tomten ("Gnome"), with the familiar red cap and long beard. And this in turn influenced the artist who designed the modern Santa Claus, originally for Coca Cola.
