A continuation and re imagining of Transformers Animated; introducing new characters and plots. Featuring both old and new characters as well as the next generation of various characters.
Karmen is the second-oldest clone/child of Jazz, twin sister to Toaster and adopted daughter of Dancer.
Karmen and Toaster were early attempts at creating Outliers through the cloning process, as a way to boost Cybertron's population without sacrificing function variety. Whilst Toaster gained the ability to convert sound to heat beams, Karmen gained something far more mysterious: the power to blast large amounts of energy through her shoulder cannons at a fraction of the energon cost, and without burning out like other bots would at high-energon levels. No one is quite sure what part of the cloning process is responsible for Karmen's resilient systems, but it is believed she may hold the answer to Cybertron's energon crisis.
Unlike most of her family, Karmen has opted not to work full time in the Autobot Forces. She is considered furloughed, only called on to the front lines when absolutely necessary. Otherwise, she spends her time in Wheeljack's lab or organising her freestyle dance crew to perform on Iacon's stages. Karmen is openly flirty with all bots and has had a number of relationships, not all of which are public. One resulted in the sparking of her son, Clyde, but she refuses to disclose the identity of his sire (though it's obvious to anyone with functioning optics xD).
