Hahah oh ja ich versteh den. Mich regts iwie auch immer auf wenn die Leute Geparden mit Leoparden verwechseln (ich mein selbst wenn Leute sich nicht so mit Tieren auskennen, so ähnlich sehen die sich nun auch nicht xD)

Mich macht es manchmal fast irre, wenn ich z.B. Mütter mit ihren Kindern höre -.-
Was die da manchmal für quatsch raus lassen, das glaubt keiner. die sagten dem Geparden heute sogar löwen, und zu einem *absolut offensichtlich* mänlichen Panther der markierte, "Sieh mal, es ist ein Weibchen" >.< mann wie mich solche kommentare in Zoos immer aufregen...

Hahahah hier passt das Sprichwort perfekt: "Wenn man keine Ahnung hat, einfach mal die Fresse halten" xD

The collar thing.. i don't know.
And there are some few cases, where big cats need to have some "activity". In fact, if they grow up in a zoo - the whole life in captivity - , they can't be brought back into the wild life.
They would go crazy without variety in the daily routine.
So if the "tricks" are not made to show a "sensation" or to make cash, but for the good health of the cats, then it might be ok.
You can see what happens to such cats with daily tedium. They walk in small circles, or the whole day on the same path from left to right of the cage :(
They simply go crazy...

I know what you mean, and that's right. The place where i visit regulary is not one of this classic "Zoo's". And the owner tries to bring up enough money to build a complete all-changing "zoo" or "animal park" Don't know what different words exist for this in english. But there are still over 23Millions missing

There are some ignorant people out there. I dont see how they can mix em up. But hey people mix up.lions and tigers.
