thsi is a Dhorikh adn the text after is from ahkahna, the owner an creator of these creatures... and so many more!
Dhorikh, like their companion race the Akinu, reside in a freezing, snowy environment living in large communities throughout the many mountain cave systems. Homes are now more current in the use of electricity and furniture with fresh running water held in constantly warmed cisterns. However, they still continue the use of carts for the purchase and selling of goods at local markets.
Herd animals are wintered in their own stables along side the homes of the Dhorikh who travel the local towns for feed and supplies. All herd animals are tagged with information of their owners and allowed to roam freely during summer and fall months.
Men are especially favored as ponnadors (professors) due to their interest in history and story telling. Tales of the past were taught to the boys who eventually repeated the tales flawlessly to the next generation making their memory and knowledge capacity extraordinary.
In winter months, Dhorikh do not tend to use their wings as the heavy fur holds them down. The wings are not good at conserving heat and are easily damaged by the freezing temperatures so they remain in their cloak when outside, but will exercise their wings indoors.
