Because of the hair, I had to draw this panel extra big. I think it turned out pretty nice, so I decided to share. Some art nouveau inspiration in their, with some things I learned while working on my Senior Studio project.
Regret is all that remains of Miranda. Regret, anger, and envy. She had to watch Joel get blamed for her death while Julian conveniently forgot. She had to watch Isaac's abuse of Joel for years and years. She is old and she is weathered, spending far too long on this earth than any departed soul should - turn, deranged, and driven mad by the ethereal wind, twisting her mind into something deprived and thirsty for pain.

She's obsessed with revenge. She can't see the pain she inflicts on others due to the pain and rage she feels.
She's completely oblivious that she's turned into an evil much greater, and is causing far more harm (both to Joel and to everyone else) than her brother ever thought of.

Joel's as much of a victim as anyone else, if not more. His soul has been raped (metaphorically and literally) for the past two decades, and he's forced into doing horrible things against his will.
He suddenly went from 'evil bastard' to 'victim deranged against his will'.
That's a huge shift in a single comic.
Good one, Immy.
