So in poking around public-domain comic books I ran across Ajax-Farrell's September 1957-cover dated Frisky Animals on Parade and tried to not segfault at the title. Here's a bit from issue #1, the cover of https://comicbookplus.com/?dlid=77123 which had a band marching in one direction and the baton skunk marching in the other. And, what the heck, I don't have much experience drawing skunks so that's worth an attempt. I made an effort at showing the shine on the brim of the hat without using, like, a whole third color in my sketch.
(I have ArtRage set up with three basic colors, a blue one for sketching, a solid black for inks, and that grey for when something else will do. I'll occasionally color in a whole picture but then I ad lib the colors, which is why nothing I draw a second time has quite the same color palette.)
