These are my two characters, Eloise/Ekuska (right) and Derek/Vraksadi (left). They're currently discussing their "daughter", Daniella, and their "son", Brook, and how their relationship is.

BACKSTORY:

Part I: Ugatanian Nature
Basically, it is considered very legendary for their species (Ugatanian Archies) to willfully exhibit violence unless they deem it absolutely necessary and it has been this way for at least 7 millenniums. They handle their negative emotions—if any is felt—in more peaceful and rational manners and try to work things out logically.

Part II: Ugatanians on Earth
To summarize, the Ugatanians were invaded by a group of violent, highly advanced, immensely strong, and incredibly brutal colonizers and after losing a war between the two, were forced to leave their native planet or risk extinction.

The Ugatanian Archies are highly intelligent and very peaceful shapeshifters who, after learning extensively about the planet's nature and the nature of their most prominent civilians, travel to other planets, disguised as a member of their most prominent and intelligent species, for all sorts of reasons (vacationing, educational purposes, research, trading, etc.). It is unknown (by me) how they acquired their extensive shapeshifting abilities, but their basic traits may have come from evolution regarding the need to blend in with their planetary prey before killing and eating them and may have developed with the aid of technology and other "medical" aids.

With that said, they told all of the Archies that were on different planets to stay in those planets and to not return to Ugatog following the war and colonization. They found an entirely new planet—the Milky Way Galaxy's Earth. They did a basic scanning of the planet, found that there were intelligent species on that planet, but that they were hostile toward extraterrestrial life, and thus they shapeshifted into their preferred Earth form before entering the planet. They blended in with the Earth's environment but wanted to still be able to manage their species (the same way a monarch or government manages their country), so they made a secret hideout located somewhere in the Bermuda Triangle and Eloise and Derek give commands and check in on everyone from there.

The Ugatanians usually try to hide their extraterrestrial nature as best as they can while blending in with normal Earthlings. It has worked thus far as nobody has even suspected there are any aliens on Earth and it is incredibly difficult for other Ugatanians to spot each other.

There's a lot more lore but I'm already exhausted writing all of this out, so you can message me privately for more information if you're interested.

Part III: Sibling Rivalry
So, with all of this in mind, royal Ugatanians usually crown their youngest offspring as the new monarch. Daniella is spiteful about Earth and having to hide her true nature and wanted to hold a revolt against Earthlings once she was crowned monarch. However, Brook was born, and therefore, he was the one next-in-line to be crowned the new monarch of the Archies. Because of this, Daniella has wanted to kill him ever since it was announced he was "incubating" and secretly hates him.
