Doesn't it have to do with the way the trash is processed by the city? This was taken in a public area...right? Or at least at some eatery or something where the city takes care of the pickup and such? I know large cities have different ways of disposing of different kinds of trash.
No, actually this photo was taken in front of a private residence and I happened to see this trash can. I do know that some public places handle their garbage differently but around Brooklyn, there usually aren't these kind of cans. So when I found this trash bin, I had to take a pic.
