This is the self proclaimed king of pirates in  amiralaesir 's Freespace universe.

Kingman is a pirate, a scoundrel, a gun runner, bootlegger, and all around privateer. He makes his living like futuristic version of Robin Hood attacking the wealthy, and well to do, stealing their belongings, food, money and whatever isn't nailed down. He then turns most of these whares over to poor people living out of the fringes of the Federation's control. He uses his deeds often to curry favor of locals and blend in, and hide from the powerful Armada authorite. Even though he is a wanted criminal he has helped the Armada in times of crisis, assisting Captain Katavina against the Black Sun, and when he could get something out of it.

His ship is a derelicit destroyer outfitted with weapons designed not to destroy, but to cripple, such as emp weapons, mines and torpedos. He will only kill when his hand is forced. In addition to his 'attempt at no-kill policy' he lives by his own personal code of pirate honor, and will never shut a ship's life support off and he will make sure his victims are put in positions to be quickly rescued.

In addition to skills with a two handed maul, he can manifest etheral 'ghost' fire, and summon the feline dead. These often take the forms of small house cat sized ghosts that do his bidding and assist in creating powerful illusions.

His weapons are a maul with a built in spear, a sword, an archaic shotgun and a simple laser pistol side arm.
