After some research and a couple of concept sketches, I've finally decided on the evil spirits name and form.
Yes, this is the evil spirit that's currently possessed Croc. Why a fox? Because they're usually known to pull pranks, are sly, and sneaky little things. So's a raccoon, but they tend to be more sneaky than tricky.
But yeah, I decided on a demon fox. Cliche, yes, but I'm happy with the results. He's about the size of an actual fox, maybe a bit bigger.
The bottom is Amanojaku's shadow form. With this he can go through walls, objects, and people. He's also able to take possession over objects, and scare the crap out of people. He has more fun taking over people, though.
I liked the idea of him owning a mask and a bell, but I attached the bell to his tail instead of his neck. They're not really just random objects I threw on him. They serve a purpose. What that purpose is, I won't say :)

Ooh! Did you watch Gakko no Kaidan? That features a concept of Amonojaku, except he involentarily possesses a cat and loses a majority of his powers to become a dark comical foil of the protagonist's team...INDEED!!

AmanoJaku is the half-man-half-beast-warrior (or at least his name sounds pretty similar)

I was thinking you could attach some story to the tail bell, like a spirit who he pranked got angry with him, and punished him by tying the bell onto his tail as punishment and a hindrance to his shenanigans.
